How banks compute AQB
AQB = sum of closing balances on each day of the quarter ÷ number of days in the quarter.
A single day of high balance can lift the average meaningfully — but it has to be a real end-of-day balance, not a brief intraday spike.
Typical current-account AQB requirements
- Basic current account — ₹10,000–₹25,000
- Premium / SME — ₹50,000–₹2,00,000
- Wholesale / corporate — ₹5,00,000+
