Rules used here
- Six-deck shoe, reshuffled when fewer than 26 cards remain.
- Dealer stands on all 17s (S17). Hits 16 and below.
- Blackjack pays 3:2. Insurance not offered.
- Double down on any two cards (and after split).
- Split any pair once (no resplit). Split aces get one card each, no further hitting.
- No surrender.
How to use
Set your bet, click Deal. The dealer's first card shows; the second is hidden until you finish acting. Choose Hit for another card, Stand to lock in, Double to double the bet for one more card only, or Split if you have a pair.

Do I really play optimally?
Use the basic strategy chart. It shows the right move for every hand combination. Following it cuts the house edge to ~0.5%.
Why does the dealer always seem to draw the perfect card?
Confirmation bias. The dealer follows fixed rules and busts about 28% of hands; you remember the close losses more than the easy wins.
