Cumulative GPA calculator

Cumulative GPA = (Σ semester GPA × credits) ÷ Σ credits. Each semester gets weighted by its credit hours. Works on any scale (4.0, 5.0, 10.0) — just be consistent.

How weighting works

Heavier semesters (more credits) carry more weight in your cumulative GPA. A 4.0 from a 6-credit summer term moves your cumulative less than a 4.0 from an 18-credit fall semester. To raise cumulative GPA the most, focus on credit-heavy semesters early in your degree.
