House edge
European roulette has 37 pockets (0 + 1–36) but pays as if there were 36, giving the house a 1/37 = 2.7% edge on every bet. American roulette adds a 00 pocket, doubling the edge to 5.26%. This simulator uses the European wheel.

Are spins independent?
Yes. The wheel has no memory — a long red streak doesn't make black "due". Each spin is sampled fresh from the same uniform distribution.
